That's right. We don't shuck them till you order them. Our variety changes almost every week so be sure to check out our oysters menu whenever you do come in. Currently, we have Kumamoto, Blue Point, Bald Point, and Calm Cove. Take your pick! Get a dozen of any or even half a dozen. If you can't decide, we also have a sampler available both in half a dozen or in a dozen. We also check to see if each and every oyster is fresh before we serve them. We hate getting bad oysters, too, so we make sure you don't get any.
Fire Crab's blog
Looks like another cold and wet weekend here in the OC. Well, what better way than to warm up with a nice, piping hot bowl of our very own homemade gumbo! It comes with shrimp, okra, veggies, meat, and a bunch of other goodies. And you also have the option of a scoop of white rice on top, like the one pictured. If you're trying to cut down on carbs, then by all means, please request no rice. Either way, you won't be disappointed because it's hearty, warm, and delicious. It's perfect for this weather. Come on in and we'll warm you up.
Even though we have 4 beers on tap and quite a few options for bottled beers, sometimes, you just want to have some sake. They are 375 mL bottles so they're not too big or intimidating. We think they're the perfect size for 2 people to share. We have three different flavors on hand: White Peach, Fuji Apple, and Lychee. Of course, they go great with our Cajun Seafood Combos and all of our awesome appetizers. Swing on by and get a bottle today, if you're tired of your usual drink.
A crowd favorite, our Cajun Garlic Noodles with Sausage hits the spot every time! It's also a very generous portion so you might consider sharing this dish, if you do decide to get it. You have the choice to get it plain, with nothing at all, or you can get it with sausage, clams, mussels, and/or shrimp. That's right. You can combine whatever you wish. Sausage and shrimp. Clams and mussels. Shrimp and clams. Whatever you want. Get it your way, the way you like it. We also can make it super spicy for you. Just ask! We're always cook it to order.
Finally we get some rain! Woohoo! Too bad the freeways get all crazy as soon as some rain drops start to fall. Anyway, it's pouring inside the Fire Crab, too! Yes, we're always pouring our sauces all over our seafood combos, especially our crawfish! Come on in and take advantage of our live crawfish inventory while we still have them in stock! Stay dry out there and come on in. But for goodness sake, please drive carefully.
We always have 8 types of fries available every day and every one has their favorites. One of our favorites is our Sweet Potato Fries They're unlike typical fries because they're sweeter, just as the name insinuates. Our other type of fries include regular French Fries. Salt & Vinegar, Cajun, Cajun Garlic, Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, and our Cajun Chili Fries. Fries and drinks should always be the first thing you order when you come in to dine with us. It's just the right thing to do.
We know not everyone observes lent but for those of you who do, be aware that the Fire Crab's menu is most definitely lent-friendly. With the exception of sausages and our chicken wings, just about everything else on our menu is Vatican-approved for lent. So swing on by for meatless Fridays or if you gave up meat for lent, swing on by any time. And for those of you who don't observe lent, well, just come on by. We don't discriminate and think you're going to hell because you don't observe lent.
We have developed a special blend of spices and batter for our fried calamari that you're sure to love! Easily one of our most popular appetizers, it's a great way to start out your seafood feast with us. We also have spicy garlic edamame, dynamite bread, deep fried oysters, and three different types of wings (cajun, honey bbq, fish sauce). You should probably try them all out to see what you like best but we're pretty sure you'll love everything.
Valentine's Day is on a Wednesday this year and we want to help you get in the mood with oysters all day long. That's right. February 14th. It's all the makings of a romantic Valentine's Day for us. Eating oysters and then eating a Cajun seafood combo with our hands. Sounds like heaven. Be sure to swing on by. Dates, however, are not mandatory.
50 Shades of Crawfish is way better than 50 shades of any color, including grey! We're close to Valentine's Day so we don't expect too many of you to have a nice, romantic dinner sucking on crawfish heads and peeling shrimp. Unless, of course, you're in one of those really comfortable relationships where you don't have to be romantic. You'd rather go out and have a great meal. Then, we're the place to go if that's what you're looking for, especially since we also always have 4-6 live oysters in stock. Better load up on those aphrodisiacs and have your own 50 shades kind of night.
It's Super Bowl Weekend! We can always pack our freshly shucked oysters to go for you. Just simply pick from our selection of available oysters (currently, Kumamoto, Eld Inlet, Calm Cove, Blue Point) and we'll shuck them, make sure they're all good, and then pack them up for you to take home and gobble down. So next time you have a hankering for some fresh oysters at home, give us a call and we'll take care of ya! Have a great weekend, everyone!
We know most of you will be attending a 2018 Super Bowl Party so we have decided to offer a special to-go party pack! Now, what's the spread and who you got?
By now, many of our customers know exactly what they like in their seafood combination. Whether it be just live crawfish, or a pound of shrimp, clams, and/or mussels, they know exactly what they want. The nice thing about our eating arrangement is that it is meant to be shared. So you can pick whatever combo you want for yourself and then your friends can do the same and then when the food all comes out, you can have a little bit of everything. Who knows? Maybe you'll end up liking someone else's combo and then making it your own in the future. We love it when you share.
Okay, we know y'all have been craving for some live crawfish. It's the best way to kick off this new year! Our shipments of live crawfish are coming in daily so come on by and get your pounds of it today! We know you want it so we've got it! Of course, we're gonna cook them up and drench them in our Cajun sauce before we serve them to you so don't expect them to be alive at your table. If you want proof, feel free to ask our server. They'll gladly show you a few of the suckers that you'll be eating later on. Just to forewarn you though, they're not that good looking. But they are great-tasting!
We have had another awesome year and we have all of you to thank for it! So cheers to all of you! We have some fantastic plans in store for the coming year so be on the lookout. We're going to make some menu changes as well as host periodic events. For now, come on in and enjoy some Oyster Shooters. We serve them on the half shell so that you know they're fresh. Comes with a quail egg, masago, green onions, ponzu, and a shot of sake on the side. We're open from noon till 6pm on New Year's Eve and from noon till 10pm on New Year's Day.
You like our Cajun Garlic Noodles? You like it with clams? Done, son! Stop by the Fire Crab in Garden Grove and have some awesome cajun seafood and some awesome Cajun Garlic Noodles with Clams! If you want it more on the mild side, then you can get our regular Garlic Noodles with Clams. If you want more of a kick, you can add more hot sauce, like sriracha, which is what a lot of our regulars do. If you'd like it with shrimp, sausage or anything else you can think of, we'll throw it on there. As long as it can all fit on the plate.
We've always had Stella and Sapporo on tap but now, we've added two new draft beers to our bar top: Elysian IPA and 805. A cold, fresh beer or two always goes well with our Cajun grub so be sure to get a pint or pitcher next time you swing on by. And in case these 4 beers on tap don't do it for you, we also have plenty variety of bottled beer including but not limited to Shock Top, Corona, Heineken, Blue Moon, Bud Light, Cass, Hite, OB, and Long Hammer IPA. So what are you waiting for? Let's get to drinking!
It's getting cold out there, especially for Southern California. And you know what that means. Yep, it's time to stay in, cozy up to a loved one, and make some babies! Well, we here at the Fire Crab want to help you out. Come on in for a dozen oysters on half shell. We have fresh shipments come in throughout the week so our varieties always change. Current inventory includes Calm Cove, Eld Inlet, Blue Point, and Shigoku. We can't guarantee you'll make some babies but we can guarantee you'll get some loving.
We try to put a cajun twist on everything on our menu and that includes this entree of Fish & Chips. Our "chips" are actually are Cajun fries but you can always upgrade that for sweet potato fries or Cajun Garlic Fries for another dollar. This entree is a large serving! You can definitely try to eat it all yourself but we've made these portions large intentionally so that you can share them with the rest of your table. Come on in to Orange County's best Cajun restaurant!
Eat with your family, even the crazy ones! Haha, we all have crazy families that we must go eat with every now and then. Might as well eat at the Fire Crab since we are large-party-friendly! It's especially nice since Moms don't have to do any of the cooking nor does anyone have to do any of the cleaning. We'll take care of all that for ya! Yep, order a few of those combos for your entire crazy family.
You really have the option to combine whatever seafoods you like at the Fire Crab. A current favorite is crawfish and clams, since live crawfish is still barely in season. It could run out at any time now. We're open from 3pm till 10pm on the weekdays, and from noon till 10pm on the weekends. We hope to see everyone real soon.
An item that's always been on our menu but we've neglected to promote until now is our Coconut Sea Snails. The coconut is actually a coconut milk so it's very creamy. It's traditionally a Vietnamese dish but of course, we put our little Fire Crab spin on it :-). You eat it the same way you eat crawfish heads: you suck the little snails out of their shells. If you're too high class for that, you can always use a toothpick, which takes forever. Hey, who cares about manners when you're eating with your hands and leaving a mess all over the tables anyway ;-). Available in regular or spicy!
We're not sure if this feisty little crawfish is being suggestive or telling you off but either way, you should just do what it says and eat it. It's a simple request. Of course, we'll cook it up for ya. Just pick what sauce you'd like and how how you want it. After we do all the cooking, it's up to you how you wanna eat it. Just the tail? Or do you suck on the head? It's kind of a waste if you do not suck the heads. There so much flavor in there. Just try it once and you won't think twice about sucking the head in the future.
Our ultimate goal every time you come and visit the Fire Crab is for you to leave happy. We love seeing you happy because that means we did our jobs right. We try to give you the best possible service with the best possible food every time you come and visit. So whether you want to come with just a few friends or your entire family or crew, feel free to swing on by and eat up some Cajun goodness that will surely make you happy.

Current live oysters in stock: Blue Point, Calm Cove, Shigoku, Kumamoto. We always have a fresh variety of oysters every week so it might be hard to decide which oysters you want. That's why you can always get the oyster sampler. It has 4 different types of oyster so you can always try a little bit of everything. They usually go for $13.49 for 6, or $23.99 for a dozen. But the price may vary, according to the type of oysters we have on hand. After you get the sampler, you can then pick your favorite and then get a dozen of those!
Yes, it most certainly is yummy. You can get our cajun garlic noodles with so many options! First, you can get it either bold or mild. And then, you can decide to add sausage, shrimp, clams, or mussels! Whatever you do choose can't be wrong because you will love it. And, the serving is so large that you can share it with others. Come on by and try it out today along with all of our other entrees!
The Fire Crab is well known for our crawfish so sometimes, we need to shed a little light on our other seafood options like this here Mussels and Shrimp. They make for a great combo together. You can also choose from crawfish or clams but this combo is usually pretty solid on its own. Just add sauce (4 to choose from) and your spice level (5 to choose from), add some potatoes, corn, and sausage, and you have a pretty complete meal. Oh, add some bread if you'd like to sop up all the sauce while you're eating. Now, that's a complete meal.
